Meet Microneedling

Microneedling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that uses fine needles to create tiny punctures in the skin. The needles are typically attached to a device called a microneedling pen. These small punctures stimulate the body’s natural healing process, which produces collagen and elastin. Collagen and elastin are the two proteins that help to keep the skin looking youthful and firm. B12 LOVE uses the SkinPen™, not only because it is medical grade and is the first microneedling device cleared by the FDA to safely and effectively treat facial acne scars (for ages 22+) and because it is safe and effective on all skin tones and skin types. Our microneedling process is a minimally-invasive treatment with little downtime.

Microneedling treats various skin concerns, including fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, large pores, hyperpigmentation, and overall skin texture and tone. It can also be combined with other treatments, such as PRP, Hyaluronic acid, and Vitamin C, to enhance the results. A licensed medical professional does the procedure, and it’s considered a safe treatment with minimal downtime. It is recommended to have a series of treatments to see the best results.

What are the benefits of Microneedling for Skin Rejuvenation?

  • Stimulation of collagen and elastin production: Microneedling stimulates the body’s natural healing process, producing collagen and elastin. Collagen and elastin are the two proteins that help to keep the skin looking youthful and firm.
  • Improves skin texture and tone: Microneedling can help improve the skin’s overall texture and tone, resulting in a more youthful and radiant appearance.
  • Reduces acne scars and hyperpigmentation: Microneedling can also help to reduce the appearance of acne scars and hyperpigmentation by stimulating the production of new skin cells.
  • Minimal downtime: There is little to no downtime after the procedure, making it a convenient option for people with busy schedules.
  • Can be used with other treatments: Microneedling can be used in combination with other cosmetic treatments, such as PRP, Hyaluronic acid, and Vitamin C, to enhance the results.
  • Safe and non-invasive: Microneedling is considered a safe and non-invasive procedure that can be done with minimal discomfort and no significant side effects.

It’s important to note that results may vary, and multiple treatments may be needed to achieve desired results. It’s always best to consult a licensed medical professional before undergoing treatment. They can evaluate your skin condition and medical history to determine whether microneedling suits you.

Meet PRP

A PRP (platelet-rich plasma) Skin Rejuvenation treatment is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure that involves using a person’s blood plasma, which is rich in platelets, to improve the appearance of their skin. The plasma is extracted from a small sample of the person’s blood and then injected or applied topically to the face.

PRP facials are sometimes called “vampire facials” because they involve using a person’s blood. The procedure is intended to help with various skin concerns, including fine lines, wrinkles, acne, and scarring. It is also said to help with overall skin rejuvenation, collagen production, and skin texture.

What are the benefits of PRP for Skin Rejuvenation?

  • Stimulation of collagen and elastin production: PRP contains a high concentration of growth factors that stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, which can improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Improves skin texture and tone: PRP treatment can help improve the skin’s overall texture and tone, resulting in a more youthful and radiant appearance.
  • Reduces acne scars and hyperpigmentation: PRP can also help to reduce the appearance of acne scars and hyperpigmentation by stimulating the production of new skin cells.
  • Safe and natural: PRP treatment uses a person’s own blood, which eliminates the risk of allergic reactions and other side effects.
  • Minimal downtime: There is little to no downtime after the procedure, making it a convenient option for people with busy schedules.
  • Can be used with other treatments: PRP treatment can be combined with other cosmetic treatments such as microneedling, dermal fillers, and laser therapy to enhance the results.

It’s important to note that results may vary, and multiple treatments may be needed to achieve desired results. It’s always best to consult a licensed medical professional before undergoing treatment. They can evaluate your skin condition and medical history to determine if PRP + Microneedling suits you.

Who is a good candidate for Microneedling + PRP Skin Rejuvenation treatments?

  • People with fine lines and wrinkles: PRP treatment can help stimulate collagen and elastin production, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
  • People with acne scars or hyperpigmentation: PRP treatment can help to reduce the appearance of acne scars and hyperpigmentation by stimulating the production of new skin cells.
  • People with uneven skin texture and tone: PRP treatment can help improve the skin’s overall texture and tone, resulting in a more youthful and radiant appearance.
  • People who want to improve their skin but avoid surgery: PRP treatment is a non-surgical option for people who want to improve their skin without going under the knife.
  • People who are not pregnant or breastfeeding: Pregnant or breastfeeding women should avoid this treatment as there is not enough research done on the effects of PRP treatment during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
