Meet Victoria, a B12 LOVE Aesthetic RN who provides services at B12 LOVE Pleasanton and B12 LOVE Campbell. You may have met her during a Natural Aesthetics service or while she helped curate a skincare regimen tailored to your unique skin type and aesthetic goals.
Victoria began her nursing career in med-surg and telemetry, but always felt a strong pull toward aesthetics. Taking a leap of faith, she transitioned from bedside care into plastic surgery and aesthetics, where she trained under one of the Bay Area’s top plastic surgeons. While she LOVE-d the plastic surgery setting, Victoria felt inspired to further expand her impact by exploring health and wellness, leading her to develop a strong interest in functional medicine.
At B12 LOVE, Victoria has found the perfect blend of her passions, delivering exceptional PRP treatments, tox, skincare consultations, and a wide range of aesthetic services. Known for her precision, expertise, and thoughtful approach, Victoria is highly sought after by both clients and colleagues alike.
As neuromodulators have become more popular over recent years, a lot of misinformation has been spread. What are common misconceptions patients have about Botox/Jeuveau that you’d like to clarify?
One of the most common misconceptions about tox that I have faced over the years is that it can make you look unnatural or will completely freeze your face. When Botox is dosed/placed correctly by a skilled provider, we can help soften those expression lines while still providing natural movement of the face. Another misconception is that tox is only for more mature patients. I have found that starting treatments in your 20s and 30s can be preventative and help reduce that repetitive muscle movement that leads to deeper lines later in life.
Many of our clients know we offer PRP for Hair Restoration paired with Microneedling for Skin Rejuvenation, but you also offer PRP in other ways for longevity and aesthetic treatments. Can you tell us a little more about that and how these treatments work?
Another way I like to utilize PRP is to actually inject it into the face to stimulate collagen, elastin, and cellular repair which can, over time, add subtle volume and improve the overall skin quality. Some of the common areas include the undereye, cheeks, nasolabial folds, or areas with depressed scars.
For those new to this concept, how do peptides work in the body, and why are they gaining so much attention in aesthetics and wellness?
Peptide therapy is one of my favorite topics! Peptides are just amino acids that work by communicating with cells in your body to signal certain responses such as stimulating collagen, reducing inflammation, wound healing, and regulating hormones and metabolism. Peptide therapy is becoming widely popularized because they work hand in hand with your body’s natural pathways (instead of overriding them) to optimize specific functions.
What makes peptides different from traditional skincare or injectable treatments?
Peptides differ due to the fact that they work at a cellular signaling level for more targeted, regenerative results. Utilizing peptide therapy, aesthetic treatments, and quality skincare can really help transform a patient and help them glow from the inside out.
GHK-Cu is known for collagen stimulation and skin repair—how do you incorporate it into aesthetic treatments?
I LOVE using GHK-Cu post-aesthetic treatment to help with tissue repair and recovery. It can really reduce your inflammation and downtime while also stimulating even more collagen and elastin production.
Sermorelin is commonly associated with growth hormone stimulation—how does that translate into aesthetic or anti-aging benefits?
Sermorelin helps stimulate the body’s natural production of growth hormone. By doing this, we are increasing our ability to stimulate collagen production, skin elasticity, and body composition (fat metabolism and muscle growth).
Do you consider peptides as more short-term interventions or long-term lifestyle therapies?
Long-term lifestyle therapies—peptides are just enhancing our body’s natural ability to regulate and optimize its functions.
If a future client is reading this and considering getting started with B12 LOVE’s Natural Aesthetic Services, what would you want them to know?
Peptide therapy will help to support and enhance results of aesthetic treatments and the body’s regenerative process from the inside out! This allows us to prolong the results of our aesthetic treatments and support a deeper, internal regeneration process for overall wellness and longevity.
